Ron Quinto played lacrosse for 4 yrs. for Milford Mill High School in Baltimore County MD. He started varsity as a freshman and played center middie all 4 years . He also wrestled for 4 years. Ron was a district wrestling champ which helped with his face off skills. After High school Ron played club lacrosse for a couple of seasons. Sometime later (1999) he found himself on the coaching side. He volunteered for E-TOWN HS under his mentor Rob Umbel who at that time was E-TOWN HS varsity coach. Ron later became head coach for Elizabethtown’s varsity team. Ron is a certified level 1 coach with US Lacrosse, and is also double goal coach certified in lacrosse. Ron also coached varsity for Lancaster Country Day School for one season leading them to a win against Manheim Township. After spending one season with LCDS Ron returned to Elizabethtown to help out with the youth program. At this time his youngest son was playing for the E-town’s youth program. During this time Ron also helped coach a lot of goalies for both the girls and boys teams. Some of the goalies he worked with hold records for E-town lacrosse. If you take Coach Ron’s playing experience and combine it with his coaching experience he has an amazing 30 years to bring to Elizabethtown Lacrosse. Coach Ron has also worked with goalies for the past 7 years. Coaching lacrosse from youth through high school, Coach Ron is still loving it!! He is ready to start a new season with great people and to continue making great memories.
Parent Volunteer Coach–Mark Weissend
Mark Weissend attended Victor High School in Upstate New York where he lettered in football, volleyball, and golf. Unfortunately lacrosse wasn’t an offered sport at his high school but that didn’t stop Mark from enjoying a backyard lacrosse game while growing up. He graduated from West Virginia University and completed some graduate work at Michigan State University. Mark began his coaching career with high school and youth football and later coached youth soccer for multiple seasons. He has 2 years as the youth wrestling commissioner for the Elizabethtown Boys Club as well as 8 years with Rheems Lacrosse Association which includes 4 years as commissioner. Coach Mark also has 5 years coaching the middle school girls lacrosse with 3 of those years as head coach. In addition, he has 3 years as Director of Lancaster Area Girls Lacrosse Association (LAGLA). Coach Mark is a Certified Level 1 Coach with US Lacrosse. He is also a US Lacrosse Official but has not been able to find the time to actually ref a game yet. We are very fortunate to have Coach Mark with us due to the fact that he barely lives in the Elizabethtown School District. Mark is a loving, supportive father of 4 children and married to a wonderful and extremely understanding woman, Lisa.
